The US insurer specifies in its annual letter to shareholders that it has 116 billion USD in cash and can conduct ambitious operations.
The US giant generated, in 2017, a record net result of 44.94 billion USD. Operating profit, however, fell by 18% to settle at 14.46 billion USD. The large-scale natural disasters that have occurred over the past year acount for to this decline.
