Jan 2009 An agreement has been reached between the State Bank of India (SBI) and Insurance Australia Group (IAG). This partnership is designed to promote the life insurance sector and to extend the Australian insurer's services to the whole Indian territory. This agreement will allow SBI to get established on the local market and IAG to consolidate its presence in Asia.
