The overall compensations disbursed by Saudi insurers in the course of the last five years, amounted to nearly 103 billion SAR (27.5 billion USD).
Health insurance accounts for 61% of this amount, that is, 62 billion SAR (16.6 billion USD). The non life class of business comes second with 37% of the compensations, that is, 38 billion SAR (10.2 billion USD).
“The retirement and savings plan” account for only 2.5 billion SAR (667 million USD) that is, 2% of the volume of the paid claims.
