The Egyptian insurance market posted a total profit of 4.2 billion EGP (232.2 million USD) in the 2016/2017 fiscal year which ends on June 30, 2017. This amount is up by 68% compared to the previous year.
More than half of the market profits are generated by Misr Insurance and Misr Life. The two subsidiaries of Misr Insurance Holding alone recorded a profit of 2.4 billion EGP (132.6 million USD).
