The Turkish Ministry of Finance is planning to set up a reinsurance pool [4] to cover "high risk" companies. This is particularly the case for companies in the textile and chemical sectors and all those that have difficulty in underwriting an insurance policy at a reasonable cost.
This pool will be managed by the DASK (Natural Disasters Insurance Authority). Its establishment is part of the new economic plan announced by the authorities.
