A pilot project of self-driving taxis in London is to be covered by AXA XL. Initiated by the transport company Addison Lee and the English start-up Oxbotica specialized in mobile robotics and autonomous systems, the project involves the introduction of a fleet of driverless taxis as early as 2021.
This is a promising project of technology whose first step will be to carry out a 3D mapping of the Canary Wharf district.
As a reminder, AXA XL is a subsidiary of AXA, specializing in P&C and specialty risks.
