Dec 2018 In 2017, bancassurance accounted for 25% of the insurance activity in Morocco. According to the Supervisory Authority for Insurance and Social Security (ACAPS), this contribution increased twofold between 2008 and 2017.
Bancassurance [4] growth amounted to 21% for the period between 2016 and 2017 alone, which indicates a sign of the sector's strength. Premiums recorded amounted to 9.7 billion MAD (1.03 billion USD), mainly underwritten in the “Life-Capitalization” class of business.
