Jun 2008 During a seminar organised in Casablanca by FNACAM and entitled “the dangers threatening insurance brokers”, brokers have asked for a review of VAT which they regard as disadvantageous to their activities. Furthermore, they complain about the sale conditions of bancassurance products. Brokers' grievances have targeted competition which is deemed to be unfair, the way it is practised by banks specialized in this segment, and the restriction to one sales outlet imposed on insurance agents and brokers.
