Berkshire Hathaway [4] Specialty Insurance (BHSI) continues its European expansion. The Boston-based company has opened a new office in Madrid, in addition to three other entities recently created in Europe. After Munich, BHSI opened the Paris office [5] in June 2019 and the Cologne office in July of the same year.
BHSI Madrid will begin its underwritings in the following classes of business: property damage, credit, construction and engineering. The company will gradually develop new products and services in Spain.
The Madrid office is run by Ignacio Almazan.
