Insurers are committed to protecting UNESCO world heritage sites. The first guide protecting the world heritage has just been launched at the initiative of the United Nations, in collaboration with insurers, WWF (World Wildlife Fund) and the UNESCO World Heritage Centre.
The document analyzes the risks that insurers face. It also advocates a number of measures for data access and risk assessment. This initiative is the first step in a long-term strategy for protecting the world heritage.
