Creating a health insurance database

Following the introduction of a mandatory health insurance scheme for the private sector employees, expatriates and foreign visitors, the supervisory authority is setting up a a health insurance database.

The databae contains information on private sector companies, employees, private health facilities and specialized clinics. It allows geographical locations in all regions of the country and provides data on insurance companies.

This platform is an electronic linkage system between insurance companies, health organizations, supervisory institutions and claims management centres.
