On 25 November 2019, the London transport authority suspended Uber from operations in the British capital for the second time since 2017. The ride-hailing company is accused of exposing its passengers to danger for lack of safety.
Indeed, a failure in the computer system of the American giant allowed drivers without licenses or insurance, to replace drivers and carray passengers. This incident took place 14 000 times in just a few months. The London regulator says Uber is irresponsible and no longer deserves to operate. The California-based company intends to appeal and continue operations until a final decision is made.
