Launched on August 26th, 2019, the "Shareplan 2019 [4]" is an employee share ownership offer for the AXA Group employees in France and abroad. Nearly 26.000 employees from 40 different countries, that is 24% of the total workforce, have signed up to this new plan.
The amount subscribed amounts to EUR 375 million (414.9 million USD), which represents the issuance of 18 million new shares. By November 29th, 2019, the number of shares comprising AXA's share capital has reached 2.432.778.025.
Thanks to the various employee share ownership plans, the French group's employees hold 5.13% of the capital with 6.5% of the voting rights.
