Generali ranked 69th in the "2020 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations" is making its entry into the world ranking of the 100 companies dedicated to sustainable development. Norway’s Storebrand ASA (13th) and the Canadian SunLife Financial (60th), two insurance companies, are also on the list.
In September 2019, the Italian group released the first green bond on the European market worth 750 million EUR (831 million USD). It is also planning to invest 4.5 billion EUR (5 billion USD) in sustainable and ecological development by 2021.
