Second Session of the Young Insurance Professionals Program (YIPP)

The second session of the Young Insurance Professionals Programme (YIPP) started in February 2020. First initiated by Africa Re [4] in 2018, the programme provides a nine-month online training in insurance, reinsurance, leadership and management.

The number of participants of this year’s session has increased from 250 to 1.000, the best of which will be awarded:

• a certificate of completion of training delivered by Africa Re
• an invitation to a Capstone On-Campus to improve their management and leadership skills
• a sponsorship to attend one of the major insurance and/or reinsurance events in Africa (AIO, FANAF, GAIF, FAIR, ...)

The Young Insurance Professionals Programme is co-financed by the German development finance institution DEG (Deutsch Investment Corporation) while the training is designed by the London School of Insurance.
