The UAE Insurance Authority has postponed the implementation of its new life and takaful insurance legislation [4] for six months. Initially planned to come into force on 16 April 2020, the new law is postponed to 16 October of the same year.
The new text would bring more transparency to life, pension and savings contracts. The last reform of life insurance dates back to 2016.
