Agnès Bruhat has been appointed Managing Director of Metlife France. She succeeds Joël Farré who has resigned. The appointment takes effect on 1 July 2020.
Bruhat is a graduate of the Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris-VI) and the Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique (ENSAE) in Paris. She started her career in 1998 as a non-life actuary at Sorema.
In 2001, she joined the SCOR group where she held the position of life actuary and after that as Actuarial Manager of Corporate Life. In 2008, she became Reinsurance Manager of Milliman, an American actuarial and consulting firm.
In 2010, she was Pricing Manager “Life Protection” of Partner Re for Southern Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Canada. Six years later, she took over as Pricing Manager “longevity & customized solutions” within the same reinsurer.
In 2017, she joined Metlife where she was promoted in 2019 as Product and Pricing manager for France and the UK.
