Since May 2020, the damage caused by the interruption or cancellation of filming in France can be covered by a compensation fund.
With a capacity of 50 million EUR (56.18 million USD), the fund managed by the National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image (CNC) gives access to a compensation that can reach up to 20% of the insured capital with a guarantee ceiling of 1.2 million EUR (1.35 million USD).
A deductible of 15% capped at 1% of the insured capital is applied. A second protection can be granted by the insurance pool formed by Aréas Assurances, MACIF and MATMUT. Thus, the compensation can reach 30% of the insured capital with a ceiling of 1.8 million EUR (2 million USD).
The insurance pool also has a capacity of 50 million EUR (56.18 million USD).
