Marco Morelli has been appointed Executive Chairman of AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM), AXA's asset management subsidiary.
He is also a member of the Group's Board of Directors. M. Morelli succeeds to Gérald Harlin, who is retiring. The appointment takes effect on 14 September 2020.
M. Morelli is a graduate of the Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome. He started his career in 1994 as CEO of JP Morgan for Italy and member of the Executive Committee for Europe.
After holding positions in other financial institutions, he joined Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena in 2016 as General Manager and appointed CEO. Based in Paris, M. Morelli shall report to Thomas Buberl, General Manager of AXA.
