As at 30 June 2020, listed Tunisian insurers [4] recorded a turnover increase of 0.64%, that is 470 million TND (163 million USD), compared to the same period in 2019.
Insurers, who feared the impact of the pandemic on their revenues, are believed to have been spared. The stability of the half-year results is accounted for by the quasi absence of the business interruption coverage after the pandemic and by the minor contaminations amongst the population.
Insurance companies have also benefited from the drop in motor loss experience, which accounts for nearly 44% of market premiums.
