The Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL) is requiring insurers to temporarily suspend the distribution of dividends to shareholders. This decision is intended to limit the impact of coronavirus [4] on insurance companies’ activity.
The Sri Lankan regulator has already proposed to insurers a three-month delay of the payment the insured’ premiums in order to avoid the risk of non-coverage.
