In the first half of 2020, Continental Re and its various African subsidiaries achieved excellent results.
The gross written premiums amounted to 71.7 million USD, an increase of 27% compared to the same period in 2019. The underwriting profit reached 6.9 million USD against 1.3 million USD a year earlier, thus increasing by 442%.
The profit before tax was set at 12.3 million USD, an increase of 300% over one year. The investment incomes amounted to 4.6 million USD by late June 2020, a 30% growth compared to the same period in 2019.
