Since 1 January 2020, Air France has reimbursed 1.3 billion USD in plane tickets. The airline, which has already settled 2 million claims, is intending to further loosen the compensation conditions.
To attract customers, Air France is introducing additional services and facilities such as:
- Full ticket refund or postponement of the flight's date free of charge or justification
- The possibility of changing the destination without charge or re-strictions
- The choice between a postponement of the trip, a credit note or a full refund of the ticket in the event of flight cancellation by the company
In partnership with Allianz Travel, the airline is also providing travel insurance to its customers. This covers any Covid-19 infection and quarantine during the trip.
