Meryem Chami has been appointed General Manager of AXA Assurance Maroc and AXA CIMA (Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Senegal) effective as of 1st October 2020.
A graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and of Telecom Bretagne in France, M. Chami began her career in 1999. She has held several management positions in major groups such as Devoteam Consulting, Attijariwafa bank, OCP Group and Altran Morocco and Tunisia. In March 2020, she joined AXA Maroc and AXA CIMA as Executive General Manager in charge of transformation.
The newly appointed GM succeeds Philippe Rocard who will run the project of launching a reinsurance system in Africa in partnership with AXA XL.
