A consortium led by the German insurer Allianz and the Bermuda-based life insurance company Athora Holding is a candidate for the acquisition of Aviva France.
Aviva, whose sale file has been entrusted to JPMorgan and Rothchild, is worth between 2 and 3 billion EUR (2.3 and 3.4 billion USD).
AXA, La Mondiale and Generali have also shown interest in the British insurer's French activities.
