In partnership with the German car manufacturer Daimler, Swiss Re [4] has created a joint venture called Movinx. The objective is to develop digital motor insurance solutions to accompany the growth of e-mobility and the advent of self-driving cars [5] and shared vehicles.
Based in Berlin, the new entity will be equally owned by Swiss Re and Daimler Insurance Services. It will have the status of an insurance intermediary and a service provider.
Movinx shall start operating in 2021 in France and will subsequently extend its services to other countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
