AXA sells its activities in Central and Eastern Europe

AXAAXA has completed the sale of its life, savings, property and casualty and pension businesses in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia to the Austrian group UNIQA Insurance. The transaction amounts to 1.002 billion EUR (1.122 billion USD).

Such operation is expected to have a positive impact on the Axa Group's Solvency II ratio in Q4 2020.

The operation allows UNIQA to strengthens its position in the Central and Eastern European market.
