The Council of Ministers has approved the new insurance law. The legislation sets out specific and comprehensive rules to monitor and control the Egyptian insurance market [4].
The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) is in charge of setting up and supervising insurance operators. The draft also puts forward new mandatory insurance categories.
