After meeting on 25 November 2020, the Togolese Ministerial Council has passed a bill to launch a universal health insurance. The text suggests a coherent and integrated universal health insurance system.
The coverage is intended for public and assimilated agents, workers governed by the Labour Code, stakeholders in the informal economy, the self-employed, beneficiaries of pensions and annuities, and needy, vulnerable or destitute persons.
