- Position: Head of Reinsurance Requirements: 5 years of higher education in finance, insurance or equivalent; a minimum 8 years of experience in a similar position (ideally in a multinational framework); rigor, organization, versatility, good interpersonal skills and initiative; analytical skills; mastery of reinsurance underwriting rules; fluency in English and French is mandatory.
- Job description: Reporting to the Chief Underwriting & Reinsurance Officer of Allianz Africa, you will be responsible for the design and management of reinsurance programs (Property & Casualty & Life) for the English and French speaking subsidiaries of Allianz Africa.
- The main missions are: Analyse the portfolios of the different entities in order to prepare renewal files for scoring. Propose reinsurance structures: reinsurance protection modalities, in particular by presenting an arbitration between the choice of retention and optimization of the reinsurance budget; Negotiate the technical conditions of the cover; Determine the choice of reinsurers and the share of reinsurers (according to the investment structure and local legislation); Carry out the effective placement of treaties; Ensure the relationship with our reinsurer "Allianz Re" Group; Ensure the management of relations with reinsurance brokers; Ensure the correct application of Compliance rules, i.e. compliance with legal, regulatory, administrative and contractual provisions in force; Ensure the control of risks related to your activities and contribute to the effectiveness of the related control systems.
