Lloyd's [4] of London will no longer ensure new projects dealing with coal, oil sands and arctic energy as of 1 January 2022. This decision was made in response to a great deal of pressure from environmental activists.
By 2025, the British market will no longer invest in companies that derive 30% or more of their income from the exploitation of this fossil fuel. Lloyd's is planning to withdraw entirely from the industry by 2030.
