Under pressure from the French government, Groupama, Crédit Agricole Assurances, Covéa (MMA, MAAF, GMF), Société Générale Assurances and Generali France agreed to freeze in 2021 the contributions from the companies most affected by the Covid-19 crisis. These insurers agreed not to increase the premiums for professional comprehensive insurance for the sectors that were strongly impacted by the health crisis, namely: hotels, restaurants, cafés, tourism, events, culture and sports.
The insurance companies also plan to maintain companies' contracts in the event of late payment in the first quarter of 2021.
These decisions were made in favor of companies with fewer than 250 employees.
In addition, the insurance companies will provide free assistance coverage for company managers and employees that were personally affected by the crisis.
Coverage includes treatment for psychological disorders, convalescence benefits as high as 3 000 EUR (3 431 USD), home delivery of meals and childcare.
Other local insurers are taking measures such as freezing premiums for health and pension contracts and for motor insurance contracts.
