Apr 2008 The annual survey conducted by Al Bayan has revealed a 5% increase in non-life premiums in 2007. the non-life premiums in Lebanon amount to 482.65 million USD in 2007 against 446.8 million USD. The company MEDGULF is consolidating its position as a leader with 70.8 million USD written premiums. It is followed by Bankers with 48.5 million USD, AXA Middle East 32.85 million USD, Allianz SNA 39.9 million USD and Libano-Suisse 29.5 million USD. ADIR, a subsidiary of Byblos Bank has reported a 22.4% increase, thus achieving the market's best progression. With a non-life premium amount of 313.7 million USD, the first ten companies control 65% of the market.
