Lloyd's of London has posted a 2.2% increase of its gross written premiums in H1 2021, set at 20.5 billion GBP (28.4 billion USD) compared to 20.047 billion GBP (24.7 billion USD) in 2020.
After recording a loss of 438 million GBP (539.7 million USD) at the end of June 2020, Lloyd's achieved a pre-tax profit of 1.4 billion GBP (1.9 billion USD). The combined ratio improved by 18.2 points to reach 92.2%.
