AM Best [4] has affirmed the "A-" financial strength and "a-" long-term credit ratings of the Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company (gig-Bahrain) and its subsidiary Takaful International Company (gig-Bahrain Takaful). The outlook for both ratings is stable.
According to the rating agency, the insurer's operating performance is solid. The average combined ratio over the period 2016-2020 stands at 94.6%.
The rating also reflects the financial strength of the company's balance sheet, its neutral business profile and its appropriate enterprise risk management.
