The Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE), the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), the Ministry of Immigration, the Ministry of Interior and the Egyptian Travel Insurance Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding in September 2021.
This agreement concerns the development of a personal accident policy for Egyptians working abroad.
The solution covers repatriation or hospitalization expenses following an accident for a maximum amount of 100 000 EGP (6 352 USD).
The new product, available starting January 2022, will be marketed with a premium of around 300 EGP (19.05 USD) upon the first issuance of a passport and 100 EGP (6.35 USD) upon the annual renewal.
