The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) has updated the regulations governing the risk management of insurance companies. The new regulations aim, in particular, to reduce risks in the sector, strengthen the insurers' supervision and manage their investments.
The regulations have been amended to meet the needs of the Chinese insurance market [4].
