Islamic Arab Insurance Company (SALAMA [4]) has published its preliminary results for the year 2021. The Emirati insurer recorded a 7.7% turnover decrease in 2021 reaching 1.088 billion AED (296.17 million USD). In 2020, the written premium amounted to 1.17 billion AED (318.5 million USD).
The net profit stood at 47.78 million AED (13 million USD), which is a decrease of 69.6% compared to 157.04 million AED (42.75 million USD) posted in 2020.
Last year, the company focused mainly on restructuring its operations, streamlining its balance sheet, seeking new business and digital transformation.
