In 2021, the Covéa group has signed a definitive agreement with Exor to acquire PartnerRe [4] for 9 billion USD. However, the financial holding of the Agnelli family has revised upwards the selling price during the presentation of its 2021 results.
Based on the value of PartnerRe's common equity as at 31 December 2021, the transaction amount has been adjusted to include an additional 328 million USD, of which 150 million USD will be paid by the French mutual group. The remaining 178 million USD will be paid by the Bermudan reinsurer.
