AGCS: Vanessa Maxwell appointed Global Head of Financial Lines

Vanessa Maxwell has been appointed global head of financial lines for Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS). She succeeds Shanil Williams, who was appointed Chief Underwriting Officer Corporate in January 2022.

Maxwell is a graduate of the Alfred Lerner College of Business & Economics at the University of Delaware, United States, and started her career in 2002 with American International Group (AIG).

Prior to her recent appointment, she served as Head of Executive and Professional Lines UK for Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance since September 2021.

The new manager will be based in London and will report to S. Williams.
