On 12 April 2022, sixty activists from Extinction Rebellion surrounded the Lloyd's building in London, forcing the company to shut down for an entire day.
Lloyd's [4] alone provides nearly 40% of the world's energy, including projects based on highly polluting fossil fuels (coal, tar sand, etc.).
In 2020, Lloyd's committed to completely withdraw from the coal industry by 2030.
