The SCOR [4] group expects its results to be strongly impacted by the war in Ukraine in H1 2022. It should be noted that there has been a significant increase in potential losses linked to the conflict for reinsurance treaties and specialty lines.
Added to the loss experience from the Russia-Ukraine conflict [5] are losses linked to natural disasters (floods in Australia, storms in Europe, drought in Brazil) and to the ongoing pandemic in the US.
For the record, SCOR PO, the Russian subsidiary of the French group, has stopped underwriting new businesses.
