According to the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (FMSAR), the last test phase of the e-report application was implemented during the first quarter of 2022. This initiative allows to digitize the amicable report which represents a key element when processing motor claims.
The e-report allows the insured, insurance companies and assistance providers to immediately and reliably access information in the event of a traffic accident.
This action is part of the overall strategy of FMSAR and ACAPS to accelerate the digital transformation of the Moroccan insurance sector [4].
As of 31 December 2021, motor premiums reached 12.988 billion MAD (1.39 billion USD), an increase of 8.6% compared to 11.964 billion MAD (1.32 billion USD) in 2020.
This activity accounts for 26.1% of the market's total turnover which amounted to 49.809 billion MAD (5.329 billion USD) at the end of 2021.
