According to a study conducted by the Swiss Re Institute, emerging Asia is a major contributor to the growth of global insurance premiums.
The turnover of emerging Asia (excluding China) is expected to grow by 6.2% during the period 2022-2023. This rate is higher than that of all emerging countries (3.9%) and well above that of advanced markets (2%).
The projections suggest that India, Vietnam, and Indonesia will grow by more than 8% in fiscal year 2022-2023.
In 2021, the region recorded 229.4 billion USD in written premiums, representing a 7.1% increase over one year, which is considered the strongest growth worldwide.
