In partnership with American International Group (AIG) and Liberty Specialty Markets, broker Marsh is developing the world's first dedicated insurance for hydrogen energy projects.
The insurance program is geared toward multinational organizations as well as small businesses and covers both new and existing blue and green hydrogen projects.
It should be noted that blue hydrogen is produced from the capture of greenhouse gases while green hydrogen is made from renewable sources. The solution offers up to 300 million USD of coverage per risk.
This is a major development for the insurance sector that will contribute to the acceleration of the global energy transition towards renewable energies.
