Fitch Ratings [4] has confirmed Sanlam [5]'s "AA+" (zaf) long-term national rating. The rating agency has also affirmed the "AAA" (zaf) financial strength rating of the South African group's three subsidiaries: Sanlam Life, Sanlam Developing Markets (SDM) and Santam [6]. This is the highest level on the Fitch rating scale. The outlook for these ratings remains stable.
