Berkshire Hathaway [4] has received clearance from the European Commission to acquire all of Alleghany Corporation's shares. According to the Commission, this transaction would not raise any competition concerns.
It should be recalled that in March 2022, Warren Buffett's holding company signed a definitive agreement with the New York-based insurer Alleghany to acquire all of its shares for a sum of 11.6 billion USD.
