Oumou Niang Touré has been elected President of the Insurers Association of Senegal (AAS). She is taking over from Souleymane Niane.
O. Niang Touré holds a postgraduate diploma (DESS) in international trade and a postgraduate diploma (DESS) in marine transport from the University of Nantes, France. She also holds a Master's degree in business law from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal.
O. Niang Touré initiated her professional career in 1998 with Alliance Assurances, Senegal. In 2008, she joined Askia Assurances as a shareholder and Deputy General Manager. In 2010, she was appointed General Manager of the company.
O. Niang Touré is also Director of Sen Assurances Vie, 3rd Vice President of the Federation of Insurance Companies of Senegal and member of the National Governance Commission.
