The Egyptian compulsory motor insurance pool pays out more than 3 million USD in indemnities

Pool d’assurance automobileThe Egyptian pool dedicated to compulsory motor insurance [4] has paid out 66.1 million EGP (3.4 million USD) in compensation related to serious accidents. This amount was paid out during the period between 8 August 2019 and 8 October 2022.

Over the past three years, there have been 382 serious road accidents in Egypt resulting in 1 378 deaths and 753 injuries.

It should be recalled that the pool was established in 2019 by the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).
