Munich Re's supervisory board has decided to make changes to its management board.
Thomas Blunck, 57, has been promoted Chairman of the Reinsurance Committee of the German group's Management Board. He is replacing Torsten Jeworrek, who is stepping down from this position on 31 December 2022.
T. Blunck will also chair the Underwriting and Risk Committee. In addition, he will be in charge of data and analytics, internet of things, underwriting, claims, accounting, reinsurance development, central reinsurance control and booking, and information technology.
Clarisse Kopff and Mari-Lizette Malherbe will join the Board of Directors as members.
Clarisse Kopff, 49, will head Munich Re [4]'s non-life division for Europe and Latin America as of 1 December 2022.
Mari-Lizette Malherbe, 38, has been promoted Head of the Group's Life and Health Division, replacing T. Blunck.
T. Blunck and M. Malherbe's appointments will be effective as of 1 January 2023.
